Stephanie

There was a dog. With three heads.

I smirked and let the scene before me play out. Ah, sadistic is my middle name.

Just to make sure that we all learned a lesson about trespassing (I still had no idea why my schoolmates had attempted to enter my property!), I used my foot to dig the dusty soil out of a 30-cm-high divot in the rock. According to my calculations, JJ would be heading this way soon enough.

Aaron and Jenny were scrambling to reach the bridge and get away from the chasm at the same time, which did not produce efficient results.

JJ and Daniel were... having some fun together. Suddenly, JJ broke away, screamed in my face, and ran. At least, she tried to. She fell into my 30-cm-high hole, and began to flail.

Predictably, Daniel came around to help her. Honestly, just because 30 cm is relatively big compared to JJ, it doesn't mean that she needs emergency assistance, Daniel-provided or not.

I tried to point out that JJ could get out on her own quite fine, thank you very much, but suddenly the rumbling peaked and the door behind us exploded.

Okay, I exaggerated. Something, rumbling like a lawnmower, shot through the door and towards the bridge.

Jonathan waved hello from his seat in the dune-buggy. He drove full-speed towards the cliff, probably aiming to jump the crevasse or something equally Gryffindor-ish.

I gaped. Talk about an unlikely hero.

Not that we would need one. I decided to take charge - they were in my house, anyways.

"Flouffy!" I yelled. Eight heads turned toward me. Phew, I'm not sure if it was just me, but it was turning out to be quite a party in there. "Heel, girl!"
